The Troublemaker

Wee Marron. There was more copper in his hair when he was younger. He's probably about eleven in his picture, and I imagine getting him to sit still long enough to do the portrait was an exercise in sainthood on the artist's part. Kiddo's actually pretty pissed about the whole thing.

(As a side note, I enjoy painting and it's very zen, even though I'm not super great at it and refinement was never my strong suit. These are digital, but it was fun to look back at old masters works from the 1600s and remember what one-layer painting was like. Makes me miss my oils.)

Headcanon here is, a little before everything went down with Tico and Marron was shipped off to Virginia, Grandfather Howe had a set of these done up of each of his grandchildren. Thought about waiting to upload them until I had Keagen finished, but I'm leaving the house (again!) tomorrow, will be out until Monday, and I'm just not that patient!
